One Maplewood resident is celebrating her 40th birthday in a big way — raising funds for Parkinson’s research and remembering her dad with a “Back to the Future”-inspired Enchantment Under the Sea faux prom event at The Woodland on Sunday, November 12.
“I wanted to throw a big party in Maplewood to celebrate 40 fabulous years of life! One of my favorite movies ever is Back to the Future, and to have my own Enchantment Under the Sea dance is surreal – I’m so excited,” said Capone.
She added, “On a more somber note, this month marks two years since my dad passed away from Parkinson’s. Dad and I could quote whole passages from Back to the Future. One of our favorite lines is ‘Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.’ He would love that we’re celebrating my life — and honoring his — in this way.”
